RBC | Rio Blanco County turned out big this midterm, with nearly 73% of eligible voters casting ballots. Here’s how we voted, and how it stacked up to the rest of the state.
Final results, particularly for the very close Boebert/Frisch race, are supposed to be updated this coming Friday, November. 18. As of this morning, Thursday, Nov. 17, Congresswoman Boebert leads by just over 1,000 votes.
Rio Blanco voters turned out in force for the 2022 midterm elections.Incumbent Michael Bennet defeated Joe O’Dea. Rio Blanco County voted 80% Republican, 17% Democrat, and 3% other.Dylan Roberts beat Matt Solomon in Senate District 8 56% to 44%. 85% of Rio Blanco County voted for Solomon.Meghan Lukens beat Savannah Wolfson for the state’s House District 26. Rio Blanco County voted 85% for Republican Wolfson.Jared Polis was elected to a second term as governor. Rio Blanco voted 80% Republican for his opponent Heidi Ganahl.The state will be led by Dems this coming season.
