These were some of the quilts on display during the 2014 PEO Quilts in the Country Show in Meeker. The 2015 PEO Quilts in the Country show has been set for Friday and Saturday, running during the Meeker Classic Championship Sheepdog Trials. The quilts will be on display from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Fairfield Center, 200 Main. Old and new quilts are the center point for this show, featuring dozens of quilts made by mostly local hands. The proceeds from the $3 entry fee will benefit educational assistance and opportunities for women. In addition to the quilts on display, the PEO is again holding one of Meeker’s favorite fall events with its Country Bake Sale.
