A ribbon cutting was held Friday for Country Raised, a new store located at 275 6th St. in Meeker, owned by Makala Barton. The store specializes in farmhouse-style décor, classic style toys, Colorado-made chocolates and unique gifts. Present at the ribbon cutting were, from left to right, JoAnn Goss-Gardner of the chamber, Meeker Chamber Executive Director Stephanie Kobald, Alex Plumb, Katelin Cook representing Rio Blanco County, owner Makala Barton, Brett Barton, Brinley Barton, Bryce Barton, Ellene Meece of the Rio Blanco County Historical Society, Kandis Tomlinson, Easton and Berlynn Tomlinson, Trudy Burri of the chamber, Cortny Tucker and Dawsyn Tucker.
