RBC I Meeker residents can drop off Christmas trees at the pullout on Sulphur Creek Road, adjacent to the dirt pile. The town’s public works department will then chip them. The trees must be delivered to that area.
The town will not pick up Christmas trees. “Unfortunately, there is not enough personnel to do this,” said Town Administrator Sharon Day.
In Rangely, residents can bring Christmas trees to the town service area and tree dump just east of Camper Park on the east end of Main Street. The town will accept trees from noon to 3:30 p.m. today as well as Wednesday, Jan. 6 and 13 at the same time and place each week. The town will only receive trees that are cleaned of decorations, metal and wood attachments made for the tree for stands and other purposes. There will be a town employee on site during the drop-off times.
