Town of Rangely Gas Department Job Opening Gas Utility Technician/Administrative Assistant The Town of Rangely owns and operates the natural gas distribution system that supplies natural gas to the residents of Rangely. The Town has a full time position open in the Gas Department. Duties include but are not limited to the following: meter reading, installation and maintenance of gas lines, leak call investigations, work orders, computer tasks, filing, generating reports, etc. This person must have the ability to obtain Operator Qualification through the Department, perform at the gas utility technician level and be able to assist the Gas Department Administrator. The Gas Department falls under federally mandated Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs and Operator Qualification. Prior experience in gas distribution is desirable. The ability to work effectively with one’s coworkers and the public is a must. Valid Colorado Driver’s License required. Applicant must have the ability to perform physical labor as well as the ability to perform in an office setting. Applicant must also be willing to be “On Call” approximately one out of every four weeks upon Operator Qualification. Pre-employment screenings include a physical and a drug screen. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: The Board of County Commissioners will hold a special board meeting on Monday, December 14, 2015, County Administration Building, 200 Main, Meeker, CO to adopt the 2016 Rio Blanco County Budget. All interested citizens and groups are invited to attend. The Agenda for the Budget Meeting will be: Pledge of Allegiance; Changes or Additions to the Agenda; Hearing; Procedure of Hearing; Presentation of the proposed 2016 Budget by Chris Singleton, Budget & Finance Director; Presentation of the proposed 2016 HUTF spending by Dave Morlan, R&B Director; Questions or Comments by the Public; Consideration of Resolution to adopt the Rio Blanco County Budget for 2016; Consideration of Resolution to appropriate sums of money for 2016; Consideration of three resolutions to levy General Property Taxes for 2015, to help defray the cost of County Government, Piceance Creek Pest Control District and Lower White River Pest Control District, all for budget year 2016. NOTICE AS TO BUDGET SUPPLEMENTAL
The Rio Blanco County Board of Commissioners will be considering a budget supplemental resolution on December 28, 2015, 11:00 a.m. County Administration Building, 200 Main Street, Meeker, Colorado. The proposed resolution is for the purpose of appropriating sums of money to defray expenses in excess of amounts budgeted for the 2015 budget year in the following funds: General Fund, Capital Expenditure Fund, Road & Bridge Fund, Department of Human Services Fund, Capital Improvement Plan Fund, Weed & Pest Control Fund, and the Fairfield Complex Fund. The resolution may be viewed at the offices of the County Clerk and Recorder, 555 Main Street, Meeker, Colorado, and the County Clerk and Recorder Office in the Western Annex Building, 17497 State Highway 64, Rangely, Colorado, and are open for public inspection 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.on normal work days.
