Candidates do not need to hold a lifeguard certification card as we will train selected candidates on site. Lifeguards are also responsible for performing maintenance and inspection of the facility on a daily basis; reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor(s); monitoring pool water chemistry and filling out required records and reports. PUBLIC NOTICE
Pursuant to the Rules and Regulation of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board published August 1980, and pursuant to the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act 34-33-101, et seq., notice is hereby given of the filing of an application for Phase I Bond Release of a portion of the Colowyo Mine site. The application pertains to the existing Colowyo Coal Mine, Permit No. C-1981-019 by Colowyo Coal Company L.P., 5731 State Highway No. 13, Meeker, Colorado 81641, filed with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (CDRMS), Colorado Department of Natural Resources, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203 and approved by the Division on April 5, 2013 (latest Permit Renewal). The Colowyo Mine is located approximately 28 miles south of Craig, Colorado. The bond release areas applied for total 189.6 acres and were reclaimed in 1996, 2011, 2013 and 2014 respectively. The status of the reclamation is consistent with the requirements of the approved reclamation plan which includes backfill and regrading to the approved post mine topography, variable topsoil depth replacement, and seeding with the approved seed mixture. Post-mine channels that are being applied for have also been constructed to the specifications in the approved permit application. Exhibit 1 presents all of the reclaimed areas by year. Listed below is a general legal description of these areas: Township 3 North, Range 93 West of the 6th P.M. Section 3 – SW1/4 of the N1/2 Section 4 – N 1/2, NE 1/4; Section 10 -N 1/2; Section 15 – NW 1/4; Section 16 – SW1/4 of the S1/2 Section 17 – N 1/2; Section 20 – NE 1/4; Section 21 – NW 1/4; Colowyo currently holds a self-bond (Bond No. SB-010) in the amount of $80,517,829. With this bond release application, the Colowyo Mine will be requesting relinquishment of 60% of the bond held for the parcels applied for under this application. A copy of the bond release application is on file at the Moffat Count Clerk and Recorder’s Office located in the Moffat County Courthouse, 221 West Victory Way, Craig, Colorado 81625 and the Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder’s Office in the Rio Blanco Courthouse located at 555 Main Street #303, Meeker, CO, 81641. On Tuesday, November 3, 2015, the Rangely Junior College District election will be held where there will be two seats open on the Board of Trustees. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes will each serve four-year terms. Anyone interested in running for these seats must be a registered voter and reside within the Rangely Junior College District. In addition it is necessary to submit a notice of intention to be a candidate and a nomination petition signed by at least 25 registered voters residing in the Rangely Junior College District. Availability of an Environmental Assessment for Public Review and Comment
Colowyo Coal Mine, South Taylor/Lower Wilson Permit Expansion Area Mining Plan Modification
In accordance with the Council on Environmental Quality regulation and the Department of the Interior (DOI) procedures for implementing the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 42 U.S.C. 43332(2)(C), the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE) has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) to re-evaluate the environmental effects of the originally proposed and currently approved mining plan modification for the South Taylor/Lower Wilson Permit Expansion Area at the Colowyo Coal Mine. OSMRE is responsible for reviewing plans to conduct coal mining and reclamation operations on lands containing leased Federal coal. Pursuant to 30 CFR 746, OSMRE must prepare and submit to the Secretary of the Interior a decision document recommending approval, disapproval or approving with condition(s) of the proposed mining plan modification. The Colowyo Coal Mine is located approximately 26 miles southwest of Craig, Colorado and 22 miles north-northeast of Meeker, Colorado, west of Colorado Highway 13/789 in southwest Moffat and northern Rio Blanco Counties, Colorado. OSMRE invites the public to comment on the EA and has also made the unsigned Finding of No Significant Impacts (FONSI) available for public review. The EA and unsigned FONSI will be available for review as of July 27, 2015. All comments must be post marked by August 14, 2015 for consideration. There will be no extension of the comment period. NOTICE is hereby given that on the 10th day of August, 2015 at Meeker, Colorado, final settlement will be authorized by the Rio Blanco County Board of County Commissioners with Oldcastle SW Group, Inc., dba United Companies of Mesa County of 2273 River Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505 for all work done by said CONTRACTOR on the project known as 2015 Rio Blanco County Chip Seal Project. 1)Any person, co-partnership, association, or corporation who has an unpaid claim against the said project may at any time, up to and including the date specified in item 2below, file a VERIFIED STATEMENT of the amount due and unpaid on account of such claims. 2)All such claims shall be filed with Van Pilaud, County Engineer, Rio Blanco County Road & Bridge Department, 570 2nd Street, Meeker, Colorado 81641 on or before August 6, 2015. 3)Failure on the part of a creditor to file such a statement will relieve Rio Blanco County from any and all liability for such claim.
