2016 CONCRETE BOX CULVERT FABRICATION PROJECT
REQUEST FOR BID
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF RIO BLANCO COUNTY is soliciting bids for the design and fabrication of a 67 lineal foot pre-cast 8 ft. by 8 ft. Concrete Box Culvert. Bid shall include delivery to job site at RBC Rd. 5, approx. mile post 15.2, after scheduling with the County Construction Contractor.

Bid Documents shall be available on-line July 28, 2016 at www.rbc.us, Public Announcements Page, and www.govbids.com/scripts/co1/public/home1.asp. RIO BLANCO COUNTY CR 5 STOCKPASS 4 REPLACEMENT PROJECT
REQUEST FOR BID
Rio Blanco County is seeking a qualified contractor to replace a sub-standard bridge with an 8 x 8 concrete box culvert (pre-cast), remove 60 lin. ft. of culvert, install 78 lin. ft. of 36 drainage pipe, re-align 1,220 feet of roadway, place 2,087 tons ABC Class 6, and place 1,243 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt.
BID DOCUMENTS:
Bid Documents shall be available on July 28, 2016 on-line at www.govbids.com/scripts/co1/public/home1.asp, or on the county website at www.rbc.us on the Business/Purchasing/Bid Postings page.
BIDDER QUALIFICATIONS:
Vendors must be listed on the most current CDOT Pre-qualified Contractor Listing. Vendors who are disbarred or suspended from the Federal government GSA list of eligible contractors will not be considered. P

Due to the lead time needed for fabrication of the Concrete Box Culvert, it will be bid separately and estimated completion after cure is the week of Sept. 12, 2016. Concrete Box Culvert bid opening shall be Aug. 8, 2016. Construction Contractor will coordinate with Concrete Box Culvert fabricator for delivery.
MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting: August 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Rio Blanco County Road & Bridge Dept., 570 Second Street, Meeker.
BID SUBMITTALS:
Bidder shall submit sealed bids for this project which shall include all information required by the contract documents. Bids shall have Bidder name and address and SEALED BID 2016 CR 5 SP 4 REPLACEMENT PROJECT printed on the outside. Each bid must include a certified check or cashier check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Rio Blanco County, or by a bid bond in like amount executed by a surety company. Construction specifications will follow the 2011 Colorado Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction (Green book). Project Special Revisions and Standard Provisions applicable to this project are included with the Bid Package. Mailed bids are due no later than 4:00 P.M. on Friday, August 12, 2016.
