The Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement Board of the 9TH Judicial
District, which is Garfield, Pitkin and Rio Blanco Counties, is seeking grant applications from agencies and organizations to provide assistance services to crime victims. The funding cycle is January 1 – December 31, 2016. The board is committed to funding programs which provide direct services to crime victims and implement the Victim’s Rights Amendment. They may also consider scholarships for training that is related to the welfare of victims. Revenue for this fund is generated from a surcharge or fees assessed to people who are convicted of felonies, misdemeanors, traffic offenses and fish and game violations. These funds are authorized by Title 24, Article 4.2, Colorado Revised Statutes. During the 2015 grant cycle the board awarded a total of $180,000 to 8 agencies that provide services to
victims in the 9th Judicial District. It is anticipated that approximately $180,000 will be available for the 2016 12-month grant cycle.
PRIORITY CATEGORIES:
1) In accordance with 24-4.2-103(5), priority use for moneys in the fund shall be the implementation of the rights afforded to crime victims pursuant to Section 24-4.1-302.5 and for provision of the services delineated pursuant to Sections 24-4.1-303 and 24-4.1-304 related to all crimes as defined by Section 24-4.1-302. 2) Services outlined in Section 24-4.2-105(4) C.R.S. The Rio Blanco County Board of Commissioners will be considering a budget supplemental resolution on September 28, 2015, 11:00 a.m. County Administration Building, 200 Main Street, Meeker, Colorado.

2nd STREET SEWER LINE REPLACEMENT
MEEKER SANITATION DISTRICT
RIO BLANCO COUNTY, COLORADO
Sealed BIDS for construction of 2nd St. Sewer Line Replacement will be received at the Meeker Sanitation District Office, 265 8th St, Meeker, CO 81641 until 5:00pm Wednesday, September 30th 2015. At 7:00 pm bids will be publically opened and read aloud. The project generally consists of the following improvements to the existing
sewage collection system: The project consists of construction of a new 8″ PVC sewer line adjacent to an existing 6″ line located along the West edge of 2nd St. The project entails approximately 550′ of new sewer line and four new manholes. Eleven existing service lines, currently connected to the existing sewer line, will be reconnected to the new 8″ line. Tie-in of the new sewer line to an existing 8″ PVC line will be performed on 2nd St, South of Cedar St. The project includes all asphalt patching and concrete repair/patching to match
existing conditions. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids will only be accepted from qualified general contractors that have demonstrated experience in construction projects of this type. A Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% will be required and must accompany the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required upon contract award. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the intersection of 2nd St. and Cedar St., Meeker, CO. One electronic disk of pdf’s of the Contract Documents (36″x24″ drawings and Project Specifications) will be available for a non-refundable fee of $30.
