Your New Universe with Dr. Bob Dorsett

MEEKER | Black holes are among the strangest objects in the universe, and understanding them is essential to understanding the origin and evolution of the universe itself. Once considered curious but implausible solutions to Einstein’s field equations, new telescopes find them everywhere. In black holes, quantum mechanics meets general relativity: processes at the very smallest scales of nature interact with the forces that shape the very largest scales of space and time. Come to the library May 4 at 5:30 p.m. to attend!
