MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library book club is reading The Humans by Matt Haig. We will meet to discuss the book at the Meeker Public Library on Monday, Jan. 8, at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome!
Upcoming free legal clinic
MEEKER | A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney will be hosted by the Meeker Public Library on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024. from 2-5 p.m. Volunteer attorneys will answer questions and explain the process and procedure for all areas of Colorado civil law, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues and civil protection orders. Contact your Meeker Library at 970-878-5911 to be added to the sign-up sheet. All free. Space is limited.
Holiday Hoops basketball clinic today
MEEKER | ERBM’s Winter/Spring Line-Up is out now with lots of fun activities to banish the winter doldrums. This Thursday, Dec. 28, ERBM will host the Holiday Hoops basketball clinic for kindergarten through eighth graders at Meeker High School starting at 10 a.m. Meeker High School coaches and team members will teach the fundamentals of basketball to participants. All proceeds directly support MHS athletics. Cost is $5 at the door, cash or check made out to MHS.
Mark your calendars for cardboard derby, ice fishing fun
MEEKER | ERBM Recreation and Park District will host the annual Cardboard Derby Saturday, January 6 at 9:30 a.m. at Paintbrush Park. All ages are welcome to join us for this FREE event! The following Saturday, January 13, head up to Lake Avery for Family Ice Fishing Day starting at 10 a.m. Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be on hand to provide equipment and instruction, and the Lions will serve lunch. This is a free event, however a valid Colorado fishing license is required for all participants 16 and older. If the ice is deemed unsafe, the event will be canceled.
