MEEKER | The Rio Blanco Stockgrowers’ Association’s business meeting is scheduled for noon Friday, Feb. 13, at the Rio Blanco County Commissioners’ hearing room (3rd floor Rio Blanco County Courthouse) in Meeker. To renew your membership ($50 per ranch), you can pay at the meeting or mail your payment to the address below. Checks can be made out to and/or mailed to: Rio Blanco Stockgrowers Association, P.O. No snow = no Cardboard Derby
MEEKER | Due to a lack of snow, ERBM Recreation & Park District’s annual Cardboard Derby has been canceled.
Mardi Gras party and pancakes Feb. 17
MEEKER |St. James Episcopal Church and Meeker United Methodist Church would like to invite the community to a Mardi Gras party and pancake supper on Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. This will take place at Richard’s Hall 368 4th St. We will have crafts for the kids, some Dixieland jazz and King’s cake. If you like, you can donate money for charity; but there will be no charge for the evening’s festivities.
4-H Demonstration Night Feb. 17
MEEKER | Feb. 17 is the fourth annual 4-H Demonstration night from 6-7 p.m. in Exhibit Hall #1 at the Fairgrounds in Meeker. Everyone is welcome to come and see what projects our youth are working on this year. Bake sale also put on by It’s A Way of Life 4-H club.

Astronomy Discussion Feb. 23

We’ll delve into the discoveres made by the latest generaton of telescopes, highlight surprising findings and discuss lingering questions, with Dr. Bob Dorsett.
CNA training starts Feb. 25

MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library Short Stories & Snacks Club is the book club for people who don’t have time to read. We will read the story & talk about it at the library – no homework! Republican Precinct Caucus Meetings
RBC | Republican Precinct Caucuses will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at the following locations: Rangely Town Hall or Fairgrounds in Meeker. Precinct 1 (South, East Rangely): Courtroom, Rangely Town Hall Precinct 2 (North, West Rangely): Boardroom, Rangely Town Hall. Precinct 3 (West Meeker, Piceance Creek): New 4-H Building at Fairgrounds, Precinct 4 (East Meeker): Exhibit Hall at Fairgrounds. Open to the public,tered Republicans in that precinct may participate.
Democratic Precinct Caucus and County Assembly
MEEKER | Rio Blanco County Democrats’ Precinct Caucus and County Assembly will be held Saturday, March 7, from 9:45 a.m to 12 p.m., at the Meeker Public Library meeting room. Check-in for registered RBC Democrat voters in Precincts 1, 2, 3, and 4 will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the Caucus commencing at 10 a.m. Following the completion of precinct business, the meeting will be adjourned and the RBC Democrat County Assembly will be called to order at approximately 10:45. Your participation at the Democrat Precinct Caucus/County Assembly strengthens our democracy and promotes a free and fair election.
