Community Dinner TONIGHT
MEEKER | Community Dinner at Elbert Hall, 809 Park Ave. The United Methodist Church Team will be preparing and serving a Soup & Chili Meal with sides and desserts! As always, it’s FREE.

Family Movie Night TONIGHT
MEEKER | Family Movie Night in the sanctuary of the White River Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. A free showing of “DAVID.” This is an animated musical based on the Bible character of David from shepherd boy to king. Blockbuster Film, released at the end of 2025.  

Astronomy Discussion Feb. 23

MEEKER | Join us at the Meeker Library on Feb. 23  at 5:30 p.m. for an enlightening session covering the universe’s structure and its evolution. We’ll delve into the discoveres made by the latest generaton of telescopes, highlight surprising findings and discuss lingering questions, with Dr. Bob Dorsett. 

CNA training starts Feb. 25

MEEKER | Sign up now for the spring 2026 Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) training program that starts Feb. 25 and will be held on weeknights from 5-9 p.m. through April 3 at Meeker High School. For more information on registration please email [email protected]. Class size is limited. 

Understanding Chest Pain and Heart Failure in Women Feb. 25

MEEKER | Wednesday, Feb. 25, 12 p.m. MT – Presented by Sonja Hanson Fauchet, PA-C, MPAS, a cardiology physician assistant at Valley View’s Heart and Vascular Center. Coloring Mandalas Feb. 27

MEEKER | Coloring Mandalas, use the cover of your current read to pick the colors used in your mandala, or just come and color with friends. For teens and tweens, from 3-5 p.m. at the Meeker Library. Snacks will be provided.

Women’s Gathering Saturday, Feb 28

MEEKER | IF: OneNight – an all day women’s gathering for worship and inspirational teaching via video streaming from Dallas, Texas. Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the White River Methodist Church, 809 Park Ave. Luncheon provided but must RSVP to reserve a place!

Short Stories & Snacks Feb. 28

MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library Short Stories & Snacks Club is the book club for people who don’t have time to read. We will read the story & talk about it at the lb to the Slaughter, by Roald Dahl. We will meet at the Meeker Public Library – no homework! The featured short story is Lamlic Library on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. Snacks will be served.

Online Author Talks

MEEKER | Meeker Public Library Online Author Talks are live interviews with best-selling authors and award-winning writers, available to watch at the library or on your own personal device. All interviews are recorded and archived. February guests include authors Vanessa Riley, Dr. Lindsey Stewart, & Smithsonian Curator Emeritus Tom Crouch. Republican Precinct Caucus Meetings

RBC | Republican Precinct Caucuses will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at the following locations: Rangely Town Hall or Fairgrounds in Meeker. Precinct 1 (South, East Rangely): Courtroom, Rangely Town Hall Precinct 2 (North, West Rangely): Boardroom, Rangely Town Hall. Precinct 3 (West Meeker, Piceance Creek): New 4-H Building at Fairgrounds, Precinct 4 (East Meeker): Exhibit Hall at Fairgrounds. Open to the public registered Republicans in that precinct may participate.

Democratic Precinct Caucus and County Assembly

MEEKER | Rio Blanco County Democrats’ Precinct Caucus and County Assembly will be held Saturday, March 7, from 9:45 a.m to 12 p.m., at the Meeker Public Library meeting room. Check-in for registered RBC Democrat voters in Precincts 1, 2, 3, and 4 will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the Caucus commencing at 10 a.m. Following the completion of precinct business, the meeting will be adjourned and the  RBC Democrat County Assembly will be called to order at approximately 10:45. Your participation at the Democrat Precinct Caucus/County Assembly strengthens our democracy and promotes a free and fair election.
