Fairfield grant application deadline April 1
MEEKER | The deadline for the semi-annual Freemain E. Fairfield grant applications will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Applications may be mailed to PO Box 2302, Meeker, CO 81641, or delivered to White River Electric (233 6th St.), ATTN: JH Sheridan, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mon-Thurs. Applications must be received, not just postmarked, by April 1, 2025.
Botanical Gardens trip March 27
MEEKER | Adults 18+, enjoy a day trip to the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens on Friday, March 27. Cost is $15 per person and includes admission and transportation provided by ERBM Recreation & Park District. Lunch cost is the responsibility of the participant. Red Cross Babysitting Course March 27-28
MEEKER | Become a confident, certified babysitter! In this course, kids 12-18 will learn essential child care skills, safety, and leadership, as well as Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications. Hunter Education March 28-29
MEEKER | Learn safe and responsible firearm handling and obtain your Colorado Hunter Education Certificate. Class will be taught by Colorado Parks & Wildlife Saturday, March 28, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 29, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Full participation is required, including a visit to the shooting range Sunday afternoon. Class is taught at a sixth grade level and participants must be able to take a written test without assistance. Participants need to bring a sack lunch each day. $14/person.
