Beauty and the Beast Jr. tonight thru Sat.
MEEKER | Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. will be performed live at Meeker High School in the auditorium on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. Presented by the Meeker Arts & Cultural Council and ERBM Recreation & Park District.
Citizens’ meeting to discuss wolf reintroduction Monday, Nov. 18
MEEKER | A meeting for concerned citizens to discuss the potential reintroduction of wolves in parts of Rio Blanco County is planned for Monday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Center (200 Main St., Meeker). All members of the public are welcome to attend. (Note: this is a change of location from the 4-H building at the Fairgrounds.)
Memorial Turkey Shoot Nov. 23
MEEKER | The Meeker Sportsman’s Club will be holding the 2024 Kenny Johnson Memorial Turkey Shoot on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Events include .22 Rifle Long Gong, Bowling Pin Shoot (brackets for rimfire and centerfire pistols), and Youth .22 event. $2 per event with a turkey winner at the end of each round. The event will be at the Meeker Sportsman’s Club range at 2553 RBC Rd 11 (Sulphur Creek Road), approximately 1.4 miles beyond the end of the pavement. Follow the signs.
Youth Archery competition Nov. 23
MEEKER | Meeker has been chosen for the first leg of the CO S3DA Indoor Triple Crown series. It will be at the 4-H building on Nov. 23. More than 60 youth archers from all over the state are expected to participate.
