Free legal clinic

MEEKER | A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney will be held at the Meeker Library on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. Volunteer attorneys will answer questions and explain the process and procedure for all areas of Colorado civil law, including family law, property law, probate law, collections, appeals, landlord-tenant law, small claims, veterans issues, and civil protection orders. Contact your Meeker Library at 970-878-5911 to be added to the sign-up sheet. All free. Space is limited. 

Meeker Library book club

MEEKER | The Meeker Public Library book club is reading Molokai by Alan Brennert. We will meet to discuss the book at the Meeker Public Library on Monday, November 13, at 1:00 p.m.  Extra copies are available for check out at the library if you would like to join in the fun. New members are always welcome!

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

MEEKER | 1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a self-paced program for kids that have not reached Kindergarten yet. Kits are given at sign-up at the Meeker Library. Prizes given upon reaching every 100 books read. Certification upon completion.

Conservation poster contest

MEEKER | White River Conservation District is sponsoring a Poster Contest with cash prizes and the opportunity to go on to the state and national level!  Support our local youth and go by Streamline Realty, 600 Main Street, to vote for your favorite poster Oct. 23-31. 

Need help finding affordable health insurance coverage?

MEEKER | The Health Partnership’s team will be in Meeker on Monday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Meeker Public Library to help residents learn more about the available options, have questions answered by staff and enroll. The team is also available to schedule appointments at convenient times for residents by calling 970-875-3630 or visiting thehealthpartnership.org to schedule.

Polar Plunge Nov. 18

Rangely | The Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce and the Rangely Police Department are hosting this year’s Polar Plunge on Nov. 18 at 12 p.m. Get a team together and “jump” to help support local families in Rangely this holiday season. Proceeds from the event will be sent to WARM, the local utility assistance program and to the Rangely Resource Pantry. Annual Craft Show in Rangely

RANGELY | Rangely’s second annual craft show will be Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the EEC Building, 402 W. Main Street. Come work on your Christmas shopping – lots of homemade gifts and crafts.
