Open Drop-in Community Meeting TODAY for Landowners Affected by the Lee & Elk Fires
MEEKER | We understand there are many challenges following the recent fires, and we want to ensure landowners have support and clear information moving forward. Join us for an open, drop-in, community meeting where staff from the BLM, Rio Blanco County, and the Conservation Districts will be on hand to listen, answer questions, and share resources TODAY, Thursday, Sept. 11 from 1-4 p.m. at the Fire Protection District.
Circle Park to remain closed through September
MEEKER | Circle Park will remain closed through September as Phase III work continues. Remaining tasks include installation of a permanent ADA-accessible vault toilet, new grass growth, irrigation, and other key features. These upgrades will serve to ensure the park is more comfortable, functional, and sustainable for future use. In the meantime, please continue using the improved access points at 3rd and 10th Streets for your river recreation. Thank you for your patience as we work to complete this final stage of the project.
Silent Auction to support Meeker Volunteer Fire Dept.
MEEKER | River Rhythms is hosting a silent auction at Bank of the San Juans now through Sept. 12. All proceeds will go to the Meeker Volunteer Fire Department. Items available for auction are on display inside the bank lobby. Come by and bid during regular bank hours. Winners will be announced and notified Sept. 15.

First Aid/CPR certification Sept. 20

Family Night Luau Pool Party Sept. 18
MEEKER | Bring the whole family to the MRC Pool Thursday, Sept. 18, and enjoy extended hours from 4-7 p.m. We’ll be hosting a Luau Party with games, inflatables, and special surprises! Normal MRC drop-in fees apply. Members: Free, Tots 0-3: Free, Kids 4-12: $4/each, Youth 13-17: $5/each, Adults 18-61: $7/each, Seniors 62+: $5/each. Towels are available to rent for $1 plus collateral. Participants ages 7 and under must be accompanied in the water by someone 13 or older at all times. All other pool rules apply.
Volunteers wanted for National Public Lands Day project Sept. 20
MEEKER | ERBM and BLM invite you to celebrate National Public Lands Day by volunteering to improve our local trails on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will start at the Ute Park trailhead (12th and Hill St.) Bring a sack lunch, plenty of water, and sunscreen! Participants will receive a T-shirt, drinks, and a snack courtesy of BLM. Youth 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
