Cornhole was the game of the day last Saturday at the RBC Fairgrounds during the annual HopeWest fundraiser, which included a cornhole tournament, silent and live auctions. This year’s cornhole tournament attracted more teams, including some professional cornhole players who wrapped up the day’s competition with a point-by-point nailbiter. Following the cornhole competition, attendees bid on items donated by individuals and businesses for the silent and live auctions. Funds raised support HopeWest’s many services in the Meeker community.
Winning team was Shawn Martinez and Paul Falsone (aka Jovias). There were 50 teams competing, 67 silent auction items and 9 live auction. More than $5000 generated from auction items and more teams than last year. All totals are not available yet.
