The weather this week was a repetition of last week’s — that is bright sunny days and cool nights. On Wednesday afternoon a high wind from the north blew up and stirred up considerable dust. Such a wind on the plains with no mountains to interrupt it would probably develop into a cyclone.
Marland Oil company of Ponca City may be the cause of a new resort starting in Colorado. The company’s test for oil on the Meeker dome in Rio Blanco county, Colorado, near the town of Meeker, which it had been planned to abandon on account of difficulties arising out of the encountering of an enormous flow of warm sulphur water, may not be abandoned. The two-year old corporation assembles archery bows both of the conventional and compound type with several models available.
