County Clerk Fordham and family left for Denver this morning, where Mrs. Fordham and the children will spend the winter. Mr. F will again be at his post of duty in the courthouse in a few days. 

 This storm will retard building operations. This is the only objection, that we know of, to the present fall of “the beautiful”. 

It seems that the high prices obtained for range cattle at Denver this season is largely due to the “breeding up’ process now being so generally practiced among Western stockmen.

Promiscuous killing of game has gone on for some time now at the place known as Glen Beulah, near DeBeque, under the pretext that it is a private game farm. 

There were rumors in circulation in town during the week that a syndicate of wealthy California men had bought quite a strip of north branch of White for the purpose of establishing summer homes. I hope the rumor turns out to be true. Such a transaction would mean the development of several miles of that beautiful valley.

Santa is planning his annual visit to the boys and girls of the Meeker area on Saturday, Dec. 21. But before he makes this appearance the Meeker businessmen and individuals have arranged for a free movie and drawing at the high school auditorium this coming Saturday. 

Our festively dressed Utopians met at the Fairfield Center Monday night for a gala evening of fun and games. 

Christmas tree cutting with a permit, will be allowed district wide on the Blanco Ranger District, White River National Forest, with the following exceptions: Do not cut within 200 feet of the main White River Road, the Ripple Creek Road, the Buford-New Castle Road, the Trappers Lake Road, or in any of the campgrounds.

Santa Claus will be arriving in Rangely at 2 P.M. this Saturday afternoon to hear children’s requests for Christmas day. 

The Rangely Panthers made it two in a row Saturday as they opened a three game home stand with a 44-32 victory over Vernal, Utah.

On Tuesday, Nov. 30 the town Council gathered at the Municipality Building for a public hearing on the modification of the mobile home codes and to discuss town business. 

Air Force Airman Brandon F. Cabazos has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
