The Powell Park Christmas tree and entertainment was a decided success.

Measles are quite fashionable among the young people just now. 

Buford folks had an enjoyable dance at the school-house Christmas night.

School will start again next Monday after a two weeks vacation. Most of the teachers went to their homes for Christmas.

One California county is imposing a fine of $500 or a jail term on motorists who race to beat trains at crossings. It is understood the penalty will be waived in the event the race is a tie.

One cause of the automobile speeding is that the accelerator is entirely too accessible.

Editor of Rangely News tells of trip to Meeker last week. 

Mr. Bren Sullivan, pioneer resident and stockman of the Williams Fork section of this county, came over from the ranch Monday and is spending the holidays with the family here in town. 

Lt. and Mrs. Joe Hilkey arrived in Meeker last week and are spending the holidays with Joe’s folks, Mr. and Mrs. John Hilkey and other Meeker relatives and friends.

Bill Pittman and wife Kathy have bought the franchise of Circle K in Meeker and will be taking over the business January 5th.

Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Collins returned Saturday from Cedaredge where Christmas was spent with their daughter, Mrs. Marlin George, and family.

Christmas guests at the 7L Ranch enjoyed caroling along the upper White River, then returning home to open gifts over traditional Christmas drinks.

Rangely School District RE-4 will accept bids on the house that has been built by the High School Building Trades class located on Lot 9 in Hillcrest Subdivision.

The Early Education Center in Rangely officially opened December 19 after a year-long $3 million renovation. 

For the first time in the history of the Welcome Center at Dinosaur, the Center is staying open year round.

The Eastern Rio Blanco Parks and Recreation Department sponsored the Holiday Hoops Basketball Camp for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade at Meeker High School, with MHS boy’s basketball coach Klark Kindler running the camp.
