On Monday afternoon an alarm of fire went forth and the scene was soon located as great clouds of smoke were issuing from the roof at the rear of the bakery of Pfisterer and Baldauf, but the prompt and effective work of “our fire department” soon had the flames in control. A defective flue between roof and ceiling is said to have been the cause.
