Several small bunches of sheep are ranging on the government road this summer. The way wool and lambs have come down in price past two weeks will put a cramp into so much sheep talk. Stay by the cows.
The Mormon Crickets are again on the rampage on upper Strawberry and Price Creek country.
Those who attended the ball game at Rifle last Sunday were so much enthused that they have started a Meeker team and will try to play Rifle here a week from tomorrow.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Starbuck returned home Sunday after spending the weekend in Denver visiting Mr. Starbuck’s brother, Gordon Starbuck. Mr. Starbuck is a high school president at Yuma.
Mr. and Mrs. June Graham recently returned from a two week trip which found them traveling south as far as Miami, Tex., where they visited with relatives.
Voted to reign as royalty at the Junior-Senior Prom Saturday night were Cathy Englert and Kirk Gentry, as king and queen.

The annual FFA Farm Day took place at the elementary school on May 8.
As part of the learning experience of the Meeker High School Agriculture Education Program, students in the Horticulture Class started some plants for a vegetable garden in the school greenhouse.
The new curtains for the auditorium have been installed just in time for the high school play.

On Saturday, May 10, CNCC will award Associate Degrees to 56 graduating students at a ceremony to be held in the Hefley Building at 2 p.m. Commencement speaker this year will be Harry Pforzheimer, Vice President of Sohio Petroleum Company.
Rangely’s 1975 Rodeo Queens are 16-year-old Lonnie Turner and 13-year-old Mary Beth Hays.

Tim Shultz, President and Executive Director of the Boettcher Foundation is pleased to announce that Mr. Patrick Tolley of Rangely High School has been selected as a recipient of a 2000 Boettcher Foundation Scholarship.
The Rangely Panther Baseball Team did something that no other RHS team has done in the past this past weekend, win the league while competing in 3A.
Over 80 people attended the U.S. West Widen Your World Internet training in Rangely on April 27 and 28. One participant was overheard saying, “Milking a cow is easier than moving this mouse!”
