Word came to town middle of the week that James Meeker High defeated Craig High last Saturday by a score of 7-0.
The Minute Women of America, a new organization consisting, it is said of 100 percent of the former membership of the women of the Ku Klux Klan in Denver, came into being as a national organization Tuesday night at the cotton mills, former meeting place of the Knights and the Women of the Ku Klux Klan.

Considerable excitement was created Sunday afternoon when an accidentally discharged rifle took the life of Mrs. Marie Johnson and seriously wounded C.A. Goodon, both of Boulder, Colorado. The accident happened about four o’clock Sunday afternoon in front of the Meeker Hotel.

The bid opening for the proposed well water system for Meeker was held last Wednesday in the Fairfield Center with a total of 21 bids being submitted for the four different projects.

Jeff Looney, Rangely Town Manager, resigned his position at the Tuesday night meeting of the Trustees. Looney was town manager for the past two years.
