SPECIAL DISTRICT ELECTIONS
Special district elections for the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District (ERBM) board of directors and the Eastern Rio Blanco County Health Services District (Pioneers Medical Center/PMC) board of directors are slated for May 3.
Voting for both entities will be held at the Fairfield Center from 7 a.m. to 7p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, or you can request an absentee ballot no later than Tuesday, April 26. Ballots will be mailed to you and you will then need to return your ballot by mail, drop them off at the Fairfield Center or at the ballot boxes in the lobbies of the corresponding district (hospital or rec center).

Special district elections that were canceled this cycle include: Artesia Fire Protection District, Rio Blanco Fire Protection District, Douglas Creek Conservation District, Rangely Rural Fire Protection District, Rangely Hospital District, White River Conservation District, Meeker Sanitation District and the Town of Meeker.
WRBM MILL LEVY BALLOT ISSUE
The Western Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District is holding a mail ballot election requesting a mill levy increase from 4.0 to 8.0 mills. Two directors’ seats are open but there are no candidates. The drop off location for the delivery of mail ballots and receipt of replacement ballots is at Western Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District, open Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. beginning April 11 and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day.

RECALL ELECTION
Ballots for the recall election have been mailed to registered voters. The election date is Tuesday, May 10. If you have not received a ballot, contact the County Clerk and Recorder’s office at 970-878-9460 for more information. Recall ballots can be returned to one of the county drop boxes (at the west side of the courthouse or at the west entrance of Rangely Town Hall), mailed, or delivered to one of the voter service and polling locations (County Clerk’s offices in Meeker and Rangely). Polling locations for in-person voting will be open Monday, April 25 through May 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10. Voters may receive a ballot or a replacement ballot at drop-off locations or polling locations any time before 7 p.m. May 10.
