Elk…

Standing out in the middle of short bushes on the far side of the White River from County Road 8, which runs east out of Meeker, was this lone cow elk on Sunday afternoon. She stood out among the darker green leaves about 50 yards up the hill on the far side of the river. Little game was visible on Sunday afternoon as the critters may have just been enjoying a relaxing day in the sun.
