The Stewart Gulch Fire is burning at approximately mile marker 15 of County Road 5/Piceance Creek Road. We’ll update with more information as we receive it.

SULPHUR FIRE
Location: 5 miles north of Meeker
Cause: Lightning

The Sulphur Fire is burning in oak brush and tall grass. Helicopters continue to conduct bucket drops as crews work to secure containment lines, protect existing structures, and extinguish hot spots along Sulphur Creek Road.
Sulphur Creek Road/County Road 11 is closed to the public at the bottom of the Sage Hills Subdivision turn off. Please be aware of heavy fire traffic along this road.

Size: 5,444 acres
Resources: Approximately 235 on-scene
The Indian Valley Fire is burning in the Colorow Mountain area in grass, brush and timber. Crews continue to prep for burnout operations. You may see increased smoke in the coming days as firefighters conduct these burnouts.
