Closure in place to protect firefighter and public safety
MEEKER | The White River National Forest has issued a public closure for firefighter and public safety in the vicinity of the Elk Fire in Rio Blanco County.
The closure is within the Blanco Ranger District west of and including the Long-Lost Trail system. The Long-Lost trail is defined as trail #1808 from its start along county road 8 (Long Lost Trailhead), extending north to trail 1809.2 and continuing to trail 1805, and extending to the junction with the Routt National Forest. 1809.2 and continuing to trail 1805, and extending to the junction with the Routt National Forest.
