White River Electric Association employees hang Christmas lights across Main Street in Meeker in preparation of the holiday season. The WREA also puts lights on the Christmas trees in front of the Rio Blanco County courthouse, for a ceremonial tree lighting hosted by the Pioneers Healthcare Foundation next Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 5:30. The 2012 Capitol Christmas Tree, which was harvested in the White River National Forest, will be lit Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
