Today at 7 p.m. there will be a special access, not-school-sponsored bonfire held at the fairgrounds. The fire will be held for MHS students and parents of the students at MHS and no other persons, the high school announced. No Meeker residents and no students’ siblings will be allowed to enter the area around the fire because the bonfire is not school sponsored and, therefore, is not covered by school district or high school insurance.
On Friday, there will be a barbecue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the Homecoming floats lining up at 12:30 p.m. At 1 p.m. the 2014 MHS Homecoming Parade will begin with the procession making its way through downtown Meeker, utilizing Main Street.
Another pep assembly will follow the parade.
