RBC I After almost an entire year of grant writing (thanks especially to the Town of Meeker for the original grant that allowed us to get this project rolling), planning, testing, building, setup, lighting checks, camera configurations, rearranging, and maybe even a few tears, our podcast and live-streaming studio is ready for action.
Those who follow the HT on Facebook may already know about the studio and what it can be used for. “We really built this to be a collaborative community space,” HT journalist Lucas Turner said. So, if you have an idea for a podcast, want to create a professionally-produced live-stream for your business or event, need photos in front of a green screen, or are just looking to fulfill a childhood dream of being a DJ, this is the space for you.
The first talk show/podcast being recorded in the studio, aside from the HT weekly newscast, is “Cowboy Coffee With Coaches,” which covers and promotes Meeker High School sports.
Hosts Bobby Gutierrez, Tiffany Jehorek and Rich Klinzmann record episodes each week, featuring the latest stats and scores from ongoing sports seasons, interviews with coaches, an “athlete of the week” and a preview of upcoming competitions.
If you’re a voracious reader of the HT sports page, be sure to check out new episodes of Cowboy Coffee with Coaches on the Herald Times Facebook page @ht.1885.
You can also tune in to our weekly newscast, live every Thursday at approximately 6 p.m. on the Rio Blanco Herald Times Facebook page.
