LeBlanc to host free wrestling camp July 2

MEEKER I Former Meeker Cowboy wrestler Joe LeBlanc will host a free wrestling clinic Friday, July 2, at Barone Middle School, starting at 9 a.m.
The three-time Colorado state champion for the Meeker Cowboys and current two-time All-American for the University of Wyoming, will return home to share his knowledge and experience with local and regional wrestlers.
“I’m excited about the camp,” LeBlanc recently said by phone. LeBlanc has been traveling this summer with All-American Camps and will be in Meeker for the 125th annual Range Call celebration.
The free wrestling camp will be held at Barone Middle School, with signup beginning at 9 a.m. and technique sessions from 10 a.m. until noon. The Meeker wrestling club will provide lunch as a fundraiser, followed by a takedown tournament from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
