Meeker Chamber hires new director

MEEKER — David Cole has been hired as the new executive director of the Meeker Chamber of Commerce.
“He is off and running,” said Margie Joy, chamber president, who made the announcement Tuesday. “David is very energetic and excited. He has a strong strategic mind and a love for the Meeker area. I am excited to have him on board.”
Cole is the former director of the aviation technology program at Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely. He and his wife, Martha, have lived in the Meeker area for about 20 years.
Cole replaces Suzan Pelloni, who announced her resignation in December to pursue other interests. Pelloni has continued to serve as executive director on an interim basis, until the position was filled.
