MEEKER | The Meeker Lions Club is requesting funds through a fundraiser for new playground equipment for the administration building. Recently the old equipment, originally funded by the Lions Club, was removed and destroyed.
The Lions Club is attempting to raise $25,000 to replace the playground equipment. They have opened an account at the Bank of the San Juans and are looking for donations to help assist them in this venture. The Lions Club is taking this venture for the children of Meeker who have used this playground equipment in the past and want to provide a place for future memories.
With a very hopeful purchase date of Sep. 1, 2020, the Lions Club hopes to have a complete install date shortly after. The donations received will be used to purchase equipment for this project.
