Summer has gone to the dogs. It’s time for the sheepdog trials again! Good luck to all the competitors this year, human and canine. And thank you to all the folks who put together the whole shebang, year after year!
And don’t forget, tomorrow is Patriot Day, in remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. It’s still painful to see old pictures of the New York skyline with the Twin Towers and realize they are no more.
Meeker has no Wal-Mart, no “box” stores, no amusement park or movie theater, but we sure know how to throw a good event. Now if we could just get some folks to fill up all these empty buildings cropping up around town.
