Meeker Locals

No news is good news, as they say. If so, it’s all good news around Meeker. A Google search for newsworthy items in Meeker, Colo., for the past week yielded little more than a Louisiana paper’s account of the Mountain Valley Bank robbery. According to www.thetowntalk.com , the $1,279 Thacker stole was to be his traveling cash to get home to Louisiana.
Some of Meeker High School’s seniors reportedly got themselves in a mess o’ trouble last week when they carried the annual “senior prank” a bit too far. The glue on the school carpet and the overflowing toilets were just outside the realm of acceptable bad behavior. Of course, discussion of the topic invariably leads to the recounting of senior pranks in the past, here or anywhere else. Based on some of the stories overheard, what happened at MHS could have been worse!
