Meeker Locals

People are a lot like bees, it seems. As soon as the weather warms up enough for the dandelions to bloom, we’re out and about and as busy as we can be.
Belated birthday greetings to Kari Stevens, May 15; Naomi Etchart, May 16; Dallas Knezovich and Gary Zellers, May 17.
Celebrating birthdays this week: RBTraveler Jeanette, May 19; Stan Wyatt, Tiffany Piper and Sandy Whalin, May 22; Tisha Joslin-Reiger, Mike Cook and Linda Jones, May 23; Linn Pettijohn, Todd Morris and Kim Brown, May 24; Liam Deming, May 25.
Happy anniversary to Caleb and Jody Gardner, May 20; John and Michelle Wix, May 22; Ed and Debbie King, May 24; Alvin and Linda Jones, May 24.
Congratulations to the Meeker High School class of 2011. Commence to continue your success in all your endeavors.
Well-known and much-loved Meeker resident Fuzz Cook passed away last week. Our sympathies go out to his family and friends.
Graduating with honors from college is quite an accomplishment in and of itself. MHS alumnae Shawnie Gerloff Moody did that and had a baby, all in the same week. Congratulations on the birth of Sophia Grace Moody, May 11, 2011.
Last week the DOW captured a 300 lb. bear in Glenwood where it had been terrorizing the local trash containers. The bad Yogi, caught in a live trap in downtown Glenwood, will be released “in the Meeker area.”
