June is here and school’s out. Parents, you’ve probably got at least a week or two before you hear the plaintive wails of “I’m bored!” Enjoy it while it lasts.
Everyone needs to be aware that our town’s young folk are likely to be out and about at all hours now, so keep your eyes open for little ones riding bikes, roller blading, walking and playing while driving.
In response to local concern about the removal of the basketball hoops at the old elementary school, never fear, they are merely receiving an upgrade.
Don’t forget to sign up for the summer reading program at the Meeker Public Library. Summer is the perfect time for all ages to catch up on the latest fiction and nonfiction books.
