Meeker sidewalk Phase 1 ending

RBC I Construction of Phase 1 of the new Meeker sidewalk project along the northern shoulder of Market Street between Watt’s Ranch Market and Fourth street and new crosswalks at Fifth and Eighth street intersections on Market Street is nearing completion with paving scheduled for next week.
Phase 2 of the project, which will extend the new sidewalk to 11th Street, has been approved and work will begin this week. Intermittent shoulder closures heading westbound on Market Street will continue.
According to Lyn Halliday, the project information manager: All businesses will remain accessible during the project; Work hours are Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise notified; and Completion of Phase 2 is anticipated for fall 2015.
