MEEKER I Meeker plays host this week, starting today, to the Colorado OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) Coalition (COHVCO) 2nd annual White River OHV Rendezvous.
The Meeker Chamber of Commerce, Meeker downtown businesses and the Wagon Wheel OHV Club are working with COHVCO to organize this great event showcasing the fabulous Wagon Wheel OHV Trail System.
Riders from across the Western United States will be in Meeker today through Sunday, riding the trails and spending time in Meeker.
OHV recreation is a fast-growing tourism market, and event organizers are proud of the trails and all that Meeker has to offer to these riders.
The “base camp” for the event will be the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds, where each morning will begin with a riders meeting, where riders will be paired with local trail guides.
On Friday evening, join the downtown businesses as they host the “Dirty, Dusty Meet & Greet” featuring live music, food and the inaugural “Show-n-Shine” competition, awarding prizes to the King of the Mountain, Down ‘n Dirty and People’s Choice champions.
Registration for the “Show-n-Shine” is free, and anybody can enter their OHV for a chance to win cash prizes.
