MEEKER | There are five people — three incumbents and two challengers — vying for three open seats on the Town of Meeker’s board of trustees, and two people — a former trustee and a former county attorney — running for mayor on the town’s April 7 ballot.
The Herald Times is hosting a candidate forum at the Meeker Public Library on Friday, March 13 at 6 p.m. that’s open to the public and will include a question and answer period and a meet and greet opportunity.
Incumbents running for trustee positions include Travis Day, Melissa Kindall and Wendy Gutierrez. Challengers are Jared Harvey and Matt Scott.
Running for the mayor’s office are Kent Borchard and Rodney Gerloff.
Ballots are expected to be mailed March 16.
