RBC I CEO and President of Mind Springs Health Sharon Raggio announced her resignation Tuesday, Jan. 4, “effective immediately” after 14 years at the helm of the organization. She had been planning to retire in June 2022, but made the decision to leave early following statewide media coverage by the Colorado News Collaborative on the weaknesses of Colorado’s mental health systems — including Mind Springs.
In an statement delivered by email Tuesday, Raggio stated: “In the wake of recent media attention, I feel that my continued presence within the organization may act as a distraction from our core mission of delivering exceptional mental health and addiction recovery care to the communities we serve. Therefore, I made the difficult decision to resign from my position now rather than waiting for my planned retirement in June.”
Mind Springs Health’s Chief Financial Officer, Doug Pattison, has been appointed as interim CEO by the organization’s board of directors.
