MEEKER | Mountain Charisma (646 Main St.) is introducing a new option for yoga classes with a new instructor in August. Dr. Lizzie Ross is a nutritionist, osteopathic physican and an athlete in her own right.
“I fell in love with yoga when I was playing ice hockey on the CU Women’s team. It was a way for me to compete at a higher level, find relief from tough conditioning and connect to something that felt both stress relieving and spiritual. I have thoroughly missed yoga and group exercise and the camaraderie it brings. I hope to bring a fun, high intensity class that will challenge everyone both physically and mentally and leave everyone sweating and smiling,” Ross said via email.
Ross will be teaching morning yoga classes for all ages and levels of practice in August. “I guarantee as long as you show up and move your body you will get a great workout. No weights or jumping required, if you need modifications we can make them. I will provide 5 lb weights, I encourage you to bring lighter or heavier weights if you would like to better serve your goals.”
Mountain Charisma proprietor and yoga instructor Brittney Shonk said, “My hope is to provide Meeker with something different, a space that everyone can enjoy and a space I can be myself. I hope you feel heard and seen when you walk through my doors and if I can help you along in your journey in some way, it would be my honor.”
Mountain Charisma partnered with TX Tea in June to offer “quick drinks and eats,” offering another service to the community in the same location. The shop is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
