Hi everybody (and hello to more than 100 new subscribers!)
If you’re new here, welcome!
We generally send out a newsletter every week, but it’s been so crazy we missed one. Hopefully you caught all the community news in the October 26 edition, which would have been the last Herald ever published.
HOWEVER, thanks to our Community Supporters and more than $38,000 in contributions, the ink keeps flowing! My favorite note so far is this one, shoved in an envelope with a check.

We’re working hard to do just that, and it has been exceedingly busy here in the office! We continue to suss out our sustainability planning, which includes getting our website switched over to a much, much better format while saving a bit money-wise.
As part of that move, this is a new newsletter platform. Please bear with me!
The front page.
We received some reader feedback an e-edition reminder email is useful on Wednesdays, so we are trying that out. You *do* still have to push a couple of buttons to make it work, because some OTHER reader feedback informed us the e-edition hasn’t actually behind a paywall for the past three years, and a bunch of people were accessing it for free. Soooo … that’s fixed now.
Tap “READ NOW” to access the Nov. 2 edition of the Herald.

I’m not quite sure if we’ll keep doing a Wednesday alert with the front page (sans my blathering) plus a recap later in the week, or some other format. Also, I don’t know how to add GIFs yet, so we’re gonna have to fix that …
Community Supporters will also be getting some special content. If you haven’t yet, become a supporter here!
As usual, we are flying by the seat of our pants. Thanks for flying with us!
Caitlin
