RANGELY | Mike Schwartzengraber is the newest officer with the Rangely Police Department. He was introduced at Tuesday’s Rangely Board of Trustees meeting. Schwartzengraber and his wife, Faithe, moved to Rangely in April from Houston. “Her job is actually what brought us out here,” Mike said. “She works for Williams. We just like the mountains, the opportunity came, so we moved out here.” Mike has worked in law enforcement for about two and a half years. The Rangely Police Department currently has four officers and one chief. “We still have one (officer) opening,” said Town Manager Peter Brixius. “The position is in the budget, but we haven’t solicited for it yet.”
