WREA Solar lease renewals due today
MEEKER | May is upon us and it is time to make sure your solar lease renewal forms have been returned to WREA. Signed solar lease renewals are due by April 29. The renewal fee will be automatically applied to your May power bill. Please also call if you are interested in signing up for a solar panel lease with WREA or if you would like to expand your existing program. WREA has a limited amount of solar that can be leased annually but there may be additional availability this year depending on renewals. MACC bringing back community theater
MEEKER | Individuals interested in performing or behind-the-scenes participation in community theater are encouraged to attend the next Meeker Arts and Cultural Council (MACC) on Monday, May 3 at 5:30 p.m. at the Heritage Culture Center. MACC is planning a return of community theater to Meeker this summer.
Wagon Wheel OHV Club meeting
MEEKER | The next meeting of the Wagon Wheel OHV Club will be held Wednesday, May 5 at 7 p.m. at the RBCSO Search and Rescue barn.
White River PAC meeting May 5
RBC | The White River Integrated Water Initiative Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) will be meeting on Wednesday, May 5 at 6 p.m. in Rangely at the CNCC Weiss Conference Room (500 Kennedy Dr.). The PAC will be introduced to the two contracted coordinators, hear updates from the diversion and riparian assessment teams, and provide guidance for the assessment processes which will take place this summer. Rural cemetery repairs
MEEKER | Residents with an interest in the historic rural cemeteries (Strawberry, Piceance and Black Sulphur Creek) are encouraged to attend the next meeting of the Meeker Cemetery District to provide input on any repairs that need to be made. The meeting is May 6 at 8:30 a.m. at Highland Cemetery in Meeker.
Oldtimers Association meeting May 8
RBC | There will be an Old Timers Association meeting on May 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the Heritage Culture Center at 525 Park St. The meeting is an open invitation to anyone with an interest in the future plans and activities of the Rio Blanco County Pioneers Association. If you plan to attend, please be ready with suggestions for maintaining traditional activities for the Old Timers and the RBCPA. Join Girl Scout Troop 13082 in Meeker
MEEKER | Now recruiting girls in PreK, Kindergarten, and first grade and their caregivers! Volunteering is fun, flexible and a special way to bond with your girl. New volunteer leaders will have membership and background check costs covered by Girl Scouts of Colorado. Girl membership is $35 annually and financial aid is available. R100 returning to Meeker this June
MEEKER | The Meeker Sportsman’s Club is proud to be hosting the R100 again in 2021. Promote your business and be seen at the event by over 500 participants.
