Fairfield grant apps due tomorrow
MEEKER | The deadline for the semi-annual Freeman E. Fairfield grant applications is 5 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022. Applications may be mailed to P.O. Box 2302, Meeker, CO 81641 or delivered to Diane Dunham, 438 E. Market St. Applications must be received, not postmarked, by April 1, 2022. The Freeman E. Fairfield Charitable Trust is established exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes in Meeker, Colorado. You can contact the Rio Blanco Herald Times office for a grant application.

OHV club meeting
MEEKER | The next meeting of the Wagon Wheel OHV Club will be Wednesday, April 6 at Kilowatt Korner in Meeker at 7 p.m. with an agenda to include officer elections, the July poker run, monthly ride/work days and more.
Library book club
MEEKER | The book club will be reading “Homegoing” by Yaa Gyasi. We will discuss the book on Monday, April 11 at 1 p.m. at Meeker Public Library. All are welcome to join in the fun.
Free legal clinic
MEEKER | The next free legal clinic in Meeker will be Wednesday, April 13 from 2-5 p.m. for parties without an attorney. Volunteer attorneys will assist one-on-one via computer link. Contact the Meeker Public Library at 970-878-5911 to be added to the sign-up sheet. Space is limited.
Glow in the dark Easter egg hunt
RANGELY | Join us in Elk’s Park to hunt for eggs in the dark. You will need to bring a flashlight and something to put your eggs in. Prizes will be won by all! Register at Rangely Rec Center by April 5.
When: April 8, 8:45 p.m.
Who: 6 years and younger
Children younger than 6 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: $8 per participant
Pool Easter egg hunt
RANGELY | Come enjoy a fun way of hunting Easter eggs. You’ll have a challenge looking for eggs in the pool (sectioned off by age groups). Prizes will be awarded for golden eggs found, so ‘hop’ on in and don’t forget to bring a waterproof bag to collect your findings.

Cost: FREE with a donation to the Rangely Public Schools Backpack program. Items for donation include, but are not limited to, individual prepackaged items (granola bars, fruit snacks, oatmeal, cup-o noodles, etc.)
