Happy almost Easter weekend, everyone!
There’s a lot going on, so let’s JUMP right in! 🐇.•¨*•.¸ 🐇.•*¨•. 🐇¸.•¨`•. 🐇
Tonight there’s a BOGO book fair at the Meeker Elementary School from 4-7pm, then head up to the high school auditorium for the first performance of “Footloose” by the MHS Drama Club.
Tomorrow, April 18, is Good Friday. Come to the Courthouse Plaza at 12pm for prayer and reflection on the Stations of the Cross.
Tomorrow night from 7-9pm is the Father/Daughter Ball, sponsored by ERBM, at the Fairfield Center. Tickets are $5 per person.
And then… Saturday morning is the Easter Egg hunt at 10am sharp at the Rec District parking lot. Bring the little ones and their Easter baskets for this Meeker Lions Club annual event! Don’t be late, the event itself only lasts a few minutes.
And then breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate Easter Sunday…

Barone Middle School students rocked National History Day! This year’s theme “Rights and Responsibilities” brought out some amazing projects. After dominating at regionals at Colorado Mesa University, nine projects are headed to state! 🏆

🍰 Pie Auction = Sweet Success!
The Masonic Lodge’s annual Prime Rib Dinner and Pie Auction drew 100+ attendees and raised big 💵 for scholarships. Thank you to everyone who showed up and supported our students’ futures!
💧 Lake Avery Update
Repairs are finally in sight! After being drained last fall, the site is drying out and construction on the dam is set to begin late June or early July. The project includes outlet pipe repairs and upgrades to safety systems 🏞️.
