The miniature Christmas village in the window of the Meeker Public Library’s meeting room is absolutely charming. Be sure to stop by for a look, as this picture shows just a portion of the entire display.
It’s the last edition of the year, and what a year it has been! (Print copies will go out in the mail and to stores on Friday morning.) This week kicked off with news that FEMA funding for fire recovery has been denied. It wasn’t the Christmas message anyone was hoping for.
On another note, we are sold out of copies of Ron Hilkey’s book, “Two Gone Guys” and the next order is not due to arrive until the end of January. For whatever reason, wholesale orders have no options for shipping speed, but retail orders get here in less than a week. If you are hoping to have a copy in time for the book signing at the Heritage Culture Center on Jan. 18, please order directly from Amazon, or come by the Herald office before Jan. 5 and preorder.
Here’s to a very merry Christmas for all of you, and a new year filled with grace and kindness all around. Thank you, all of you, for your continued support of the Herald. We appreciate you!
