Community News Roundup ~ Feb. 5, 2026

Happy Herald Day!

Do you have your plans (*ahem* snacks) ready for this weekend’s Super Bowl? If the Broncos had made it, I would have watched the whole thing, but as it is, I’ll be resorting to my usual M.O. — watching the commercials.

Meanwhile, we’ve got MORE art awards for local youth in this week’s paper and all our boards and special districts are back on schedule and in the news.

If you’ve considered playing pickleball (I bought a pickleball set on clearance two years ago and haven’t taken it out of the box), Meeker has a good group of folks playing indoors now and outdoors in the summer months. Good for exercise AND socializing, which for the introverted among us can present a challenge.

As always, thank you all for reading, advertising, subscribing, and helping us keep local news local. It matters!
