Obituary: Kristina Dawn Nay Wright

Sept. 19, 1976 ~ July 12, 2023

Kristina Dawn Nay Wright fought the good fight and finished her race hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” on July 12, 2023, at the age of 46. Kristina was born to George and Patricia Nay on Sept. 19, 1976, in Meeker, Colorado. She was the middle child and will be greatly missed by her bookends: Danina, Amy, Joshua and Katy. During her college years, she met her faithful and loving husband, Billy Wright. They celebrated 25 years of marriage this past year and have three children, Isaiah, Alyssa and Chris.

Kristi started her professional career at Simmons Foods. Her passion, determination and fight for life later carried her to the top of her professional ladder as a Director of Sales for Leapfrog. Most recently, she used this same drive to create and manage Oh Celebrate Events and The Wishing Willow Event Center with Billy. This was a perfect profession for her because Kristi was the life of every party she planned or attended.

Kristi’s zest for life, sense of adventure, love for people, and personal relationship with Christ were contagious. Christ’s strength in her, her spirit of perseverance, and her mental toughness carried her through her battle with cancer. She always said she would do whatever it took to get from point A to point B, no matter the goal. This took patience, courage, resilience, love, forgiveness, and unwavering faith.

Kristi vulnerably chose to share the story God had entrusted to her. Because of this, she encouraged many as she lived a life of hope and joy in her suffering, radiating a smile that defied the pain and sickness in her body. Kristi is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Nay, and mother-in-law, Leona Wright.

Kristi is survived by her husband, Billy Wright; a son, Isaiah Wright; a daughter Alyssa Wright of the home; and a son, Chris (Brittany) Plett and granddaughter, Caroline of Centerton, Arkansas. She is survived by her grandmother, Bessie Allen of Meeker, Colorado; her father, George Nay of Meeker, Colorado; and her father-in-law, Phil (Anita) Wright of Stroud, Oklahoma. She is also survived by sisters Danina (Worley) Kennedy of Pampa, Texas; Amy (Jeff) Soderquist of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; Katy (John) Preston of Bentonville, Arkansas; and brother Joshua (Rachel) Nay of Bentonville, Arkansas. Kristi loved and laughed with her nieces and nephews: Taylor and Jocelyn Kennedy, Elise Kennedy, Kacey Soderquist, Breck Soderquist, Jackson Preston, Caden Preston, Evelyn Preston, Emeric Nay, Dylan Murphy, Sierra Vich, Michael Murphy, Paige Diver, and Jacob Harris.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 14, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home of Rogers. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Fellowship Bentonville. A burial will immediately follow at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests you donate to Kristi’s cancer bills and funeral fund. https://gofund.me/3025bd63
